Hello, My Name is
Aaron Kolk
Aaron continues his education daily through the use of mentors, conversations with peers and staying up to date on the new trends and comparing with tried and true methods in the endurance world.
Athletically, Aaron started his endurance career running in high school and then for UNC-Wilmington. He ran 8:42 (3,000m),14:58 (5,000m) and 31:18 (10,000m). Overtraining and injury were the name of the game for him in this time which lead to an achilles surgery in 2015 due to a halgund’s deformity. Starting triathlon in 2017 after running for 17 years, it wasn’t love at first attempt, but it gave the competitive fix needed. He wasn’t sold on triathlon, but after a few attempts at marathon builds in the next two years with no success Aaron decided to give triathlon a proper try in 2019. At the end of the year he won IM 70.3 Augusta and took his pro card. Then covid hit. After placing last in his first professional race at IM Florida in 2020, he knew it was time to get to work. Building volume and structuring appropriate intensity over the next few years Aaron has broken 4 hours in the 70.3 and finished a full in 8:42 (7:25 no swim full).
